"With the onset of World War II rationing in the 1940's extended to clothing too. Fabric was scarce, so skirts were perpendicular, and blouses were plain, without ruffles or detailing. Lots of women kept their clothes to one shade, so that they could mix and match pieces and get more use out of each item. Colors had dark, pure hues. Wear just a single "statement piece" at one time so that they do not contend with one another."

I'm a cupcake, I'm a muffin

Last night got a little crazy. I finally got to hang out with my cousin Simon and his girlfriend Martha. They just moved to Montreal a couple weeks ago. We drank 40s of beer, watched Batman Begins (I forgot how fuckin' good Heath is in that movie!) and set off to Vinyl lounge for my friend Claudia's birthday extravaganza. I got to booty bump with my homies Chloe and Catou. Martha and I kept touching peoples bums with our shoes but no one seemed to notice! Late night muffin munchies were the cherry on top of the night.

Playground love

I went with my boyfriend and his friend, Guillaume, to a cottage this weekend up North. The cottage was made in the 50s and all the rooms were retro. We went snowboarding with his mom at Mont- Garceau. The hills were covered in powder and it wasn't even that cold. I decided it would be a "good" idea to race them and ended up spraining my ankle :( Now I am cripple and need crutches to walk.

Canada won gold tonight so that makes everything alll good.
